The GP Expo has been running for almost 2 years now alongside its co-located events, The Pharmacy Show & SAPHEX. It has since been defined as the most anticipated and largely celebrated event in the South African medical industry due to its core features as a selling point to the vast arrow of doctors in South Africa & SADC.


Healthcare will always be a key industry across the globe. Expressing the importance of this within the logo for GP Expo was vital and something which we based the logo around. Within the GP icon, there is an infinity sign which portrays the everlasting need for healthcare professionals in the world. The colours chosen for the event symbolise the colours of healthcare and GPs across South Africa.


The aim for the website to was focus largely on the selected areas in which visitors will navigate the website. We redefined the user’s journey across the interface, drawing them to the focal points of the website to increase overall conversion and registrations for the event. While still keeping the events look and overall branding at the forefront of the site with large colour blocks.

After one year of running, the GP Expo has become a ‘go-to’ event for lots of medical-related companies and GPs/doctors in South Africa. The free international standard training on offer has become a key feature of the event’s success, along with the collocation with The Pharmacy Show. Connecting the 2 industries together.

The website has been a large success, the event reached a total number of 1600 of registrations in its first year, proving that the methods used within the website, and the focus of the marketing produced is effective.
