The advanced proprietary ABD® digital platform was developed by researchers at Oxford University, and commercialised by OxMet, drawing on technology and software developed over two decades. The mission of OxMet is to develop, license, and manufacture proprietary alloys, alloy powders and alloy components for the aerospace, automotive, industrial and biomedical markets. The proprietary ABD® range of alloys has a wide range of industrial, medical, and consumer applications, including making rockets, planes, and cars more fuel-efficient, and reducing the problems associated with many medical implants.
Alloys by Design is a system brand of Alloyed, which brings together an advanced manufacturing process chain through the merger of OxMet and Betatype together with the acquisition of extensive additive manufacturing production capabilities in Stone, UK.
The website for ABD needed to convey its ideas and services to visitors while maintaining a strong connection between OxMet and Alloyed.
A simplistic layout, including clearly defined sections, is used to present information to its visitors in an effective way.
Since the release of the Alloys by Design website, the feedback has been tremendously positive, with visitors to the site boasting how well presented the information is. And how easy the site is to navigate.
“I worked with Smarta Studio on a recent project originating new corporate websites and reconditioning existing ones coincident upon the merger of various brands into one. This was a complex undertaking requiring agility, attention to detail, responsiveness, adaptability, and also a high level of creativity. I am pleased to say that Smarta Studio excelled on all these requirements, and delivered a best-in-class service and exceptional websites. It was a pleasure working with them, and I would thoroughly recommend them for any website design projects you may be considering.”Chris Young, Managing Director, Elite MCI
