Smarta 24/7 provides a conduit platform for companies in South Africa to buy and sell products in order to stock their pharmacies, GP/dental/veterinary surgeries with the latest and greatest products.

Project

We teamed up with Smarta 24/7 to help position this new venture in the best possible way. Becoming an innovator in the South African landscape and built off the back of the success of their industry events in Johannesburg we needed to leverage this business in the best way possible.

We created the brand. From logo, colours, positioning, taglines, content, fonts, and the overall ethos of this new start-up was helped by SmartaStudio.

We also created two websites for Smarta 24/7. Firstly we positioned their marketing website which they use to promote the platform to their audience. With originally designed graphics to showcase how the platform works and optimised content we are super excited to show this to the world.

Using the power of multi-vendor software CS-Cart, Smarta 24/7 has launched in May 2021 and has welcomed a number of vendors onto the platform already. With an advanced payment gateway, fully functional order system which is beyond advanced, Smarta 24/7 is simply the highest tech B2B marketplace in South Africa for any industry.

Our ongoing support for onboarding vendors, marketing the platform and supporting the general use of customers is providing the team at Smarta 24/7 the flexibility to achieve the most they can out of Smarta 24/7

It was vitally important that we website showcased the brand and its ideas from the second a user opens it. A clean and modern website, using imagery and graphics to drive engagement with the user was the main target for this website.

Since the release of P-M’s new website, they have seen a large improvement on conversion and enquiries through the website. With overall feedback suggesting the website was very easy to navigate and got the companies message across in a very effective way.

The Pharmacy Show is established as the largest pharmacy event in South Africa, reaching a total audience of 5000 people with over 250 exhibiting companies spanning all across the globe.

Branding

Attaching a recognisable brand onto the side of such a successful event is vitally important. Allowing the audience to recognise the brand at a glimpse of an eye, while incorporating key features of the focus of the event. A small cross embedded within the ‘P’ of TPS symbolises the events focus on the pharmacy industry.

Website

The aim for the website to was focus largely on the selected areas in which visitors will navigate the website. We redefined the user’s journey across the interface, drawing them to the focal points of the website to increase overall conversion and registrations for the event. While still keeping the events look and overall branding at the forefront of the site with large colour blocks.

Result

The event has now nearly doubled in size since the introduction of the new brand and website. Increasing from 2500 visitors in 2018 to 4000 in 2019.

Nursing Practice is a new event starting in 2020. It is joining the event series ran by Smarta Events in Johannesburg and will be one of the most anticipated events for nursing professionals across all of South Africa & SADC.

Branding

Nursing in South Africa is one of the most thriving and concentrated markets in the healthcare sector. However, the events industry has had a history of overlooking nurses when it comes to launching a product in that market. Smarta Events decided to do this. The logo represents the industry being united in one location, also as the event is attracting businesses from all across the world, the spherical globe type shape complemented the events approach really well.

The event has gathered huge anticipation since its launch to the market. Lots of professionals saying the medical sphere is being united at this huge event and suggesting it will be the biggest thing to happen for the industry in South Africa each year.

As the event has launched alongside SAPHEX, The Pharmacy Show & GP Expo, and how successful the other 3 websites have been so far, we met with the team at Smarta Events and decided to approach the website of things in a similar way to the other three shows. Nursing Practice adopts the same template structure; however small design changes and image changes allow the event to build its own familiarity with the industry.

Focal areas, sleek call to actions, statistics and quotes throughout and constantly pushing users to the points of enquiry is what the site is based around. The event has a solid foundation to take over the industry and have a fantastic first year.

Results

Since launching in March, Nursing Practice has attracted over 300 registrations already despite the event taking place at the end of the year. Along with the additional marketing, supplied by SmartaStudio and the touting from partners and exhibitors, the event is set to break the records of GP Expo last year in terms of its numbers and visitor count.

Barrow Landscaping have been designing and constructing stunning gardens in Barrow-in-Furness and Manchester for over 5 years. We were approached to recreate their brand and build an entirely new website for their business.

Barrow Landscaping wanted to stand out from the crowd in the landscaping industry. A clean and modern feeling website was required.

Branding

The brand for Barrow Landscaping needed to focus on the company’s origin, its modern approach to landscaping and display their array of services. The logo portrays all of these elements perfectly.

A wheelbarrow displays the brand’s origin of being based in Barrow-in-Furness. The modern serif font portrays the brand’s modern approach. And the elements within and around the wheelbarrow show off their range of services.

The website needed to follow the same look and feel as the logo. A clean website, using sharp and eye-catching imagery with limited amounts of content was a perfect fit to the ideas the client had.

The user is constantly drawn towards their services. Each service page has in-depth content regarding their capabilities and skillset within that specific area of landscape gardening.

The GP Expo has been running for almost 2 years now alongside its co-located events, The Pharmacy Show & SAPHEX. It has since been defined as the most anticipated and largely celebrated event in the South African medical industry due to its core features as a selling point to the vast arrow of doctors in South Africa & SADC.

Branding

Healthcare will always be a key industry across the globe. Expressing the importance of this within the logo for GP Expo was vital and something which we based the logo around. Within the GP icon, there is an infinity sign which portrays the everlasting need for healthcare professionals in the world. The colours chosen for the event symbolise the colours of healthcare and GPs across South Africa.

After one year of running, the GP Expo has become a ‘go-to’ event for lots of medical-related companies and GPs/doctors in South Africa. The free international standard training on offer has become a key feature of the event’s success, along with the collocation with The Pharmacy Show. Connecting the 2 industries together.

The website has been a large success, the event reached a total number of 1600 of registrations in its first year, proving that the methods used within the website, and the focus of the marketing produced is effective.

Branding

SAPHEX as an event pride themselves on uniting industries together. With its audience largely consisting of local market exhibitors, a large amount of international companies travels to South Africa each year to take part in this event. It has become synonymous with uniting all spheres of pharmaceutical manufacturing. The 3 characters linking arms within the logo symbolises the uniting of the industry in South Africa while keeping a corporate and professional image with the typeface used for the word SAPHEX.

We set about expressing the fact Smarta Events deliver their solutions all across the globe. The brand was aimed to be clean, with a simple colour pallete in order to build familiarity within the industry.

The aim of the website was to deliver a clean and corporate website which gets the message across to the user. A simple homepage, with an interactive slider to showcase the brand’s portfolio of events.
